Five Years In, and They Still Book the Same Boat

Some groups fish with us once and check the box. Others keep coming back until it stops feeling like a charter and starts feeling like a standing appointment with old friends.
This was one of those trips. Our guests were back for a fifth straight year, their second charter of the season already, and the moment they stepped aboard it was clear this wasn't their first rodeo with Capt. Brian and Mate Cody.
Brian has a way of putting people on fish without making a show of it. He knows the reefs and wrecks off Marathon well enough to skip the guesswork and get straight to the bite. Cody keeps the rods loaded, the hooks baited, and the fish coming over the rail without missing a beat. Somewhere between the two of them, a charter turns into a day with your buddies who just happen to run a boat.

The fish cooperated. Fifteen yellowtail, a mutton snapper, and a grouper came aboard before the lines went slack for the ride back to the dock. Brian and Cody cleaned and filleted the whole catch dockside, bagged and ready for dinner at Lazy Days that night.
That's the part people forget to mention when they talk about a good charter. It's not just the bite. It's leaving the dock with dinner already handled and a boat ride behind you that felt like the best part of the trip, not just the means to an end.
Five years of bookings says something a five star review can't. It says the fish were good, sure. But it also says Brian and Cody are the kind of crew you want to see again next season, and the one after that.
If that sounds like the kind of trip you want to start building a tradition around, give us a call. We'll get you on the water with a crew who fishes hard and treats you like family from the first cast.
